Battery Steele Brewery’s operations humbly emerged from a South Portland barn in 2015. Our pursuit of perfection started by refining our signature Flume Double IPA before expanding to the many beers now loved by our loyal customers at both our original tap room on Industrial Way in Portland and our kitchen and bar in Wells.

Battery Steele Kitchen+Bar sits a stone’s throw away from the beach in the charming coastal town of Wells, ME. This location showcases our exceptional beers, cocktails and elevated pub food. Our culinary team skillfully prepares a range of dishes, each designed to complement the flavors found in our diverse beer selection.

Inspired by the liquid in the bottle, we have scoured the US and beyond to find, what we believe, to be the best beer, cider and mead available in the world. We go to great lengths to then get these liquids to the customer in the best possible condition. Our suppliers work hard to make a world class product and we’re dedicated to treating them with the respect they deserve.
We do not carry multinational macro-lagers or “utility” beers
We do not carry beer brewed with adjuncts used to reduce flavor and body.
