While the idea to open a microbrewery originated in 2005 (when Bert and Christian brewed their first beer together), the concept of brewing and enjoying delicious beer is rooted in our family history. It’s a huge part of our family traditions and heritage that can be traced all the way back to the Old World. It was through honoring our family’s roots, as well as our love of craft beer, that Common Roots Brewing Company was born. Our beers intermix old world traditions with new world inspirations. Since opening our taproom doors for the first time in December of 2014, we have produced a variety of beer styles that we feel will appeal to any craft beer consumer.

We are a craft-distribution and importing company built on the passion for the product we sell. Inspired by the liquid in the bottle, we have scoured the US and beyond to find, what we believe, to be the best beer, cider and mead available in the world. We go to great lengths to then get these liquids to the customer in the best possible condition. Our suppliers work hard to make a world class product and we’re dedicated to treating them with the respect they deserve.
We do not carry multinational macro-lagers or “utility” beers
We do not carry beer brewed with adjuncts used to reduce flavor and body.
We are not in the business of “moving boxes”
